Fun Lovin Criminals

Though some might peg bands from New York City to be overtly pretentious, the alternative rock troupe Fun Lovin' Criminals is wholly unimposing and true to heart. The band's musical style is very eclectic, covering such styles as hip hop, rock, funk, blues as well as jazz, and its songs often deal with life in a city - specifically: organized crime, recreational drug use, violence, poverty and politics. The band's oftentimes gritty lyrics tend to be existentialist but they're just as often humorous and satirical.
