Everlast is a hip-hop artist and modern blues musician who has managed to blend the realms of rock, blues and rap to create one cohesive, crossover sound. Though he started off his career in entertainment with the East Coast rap LP Forever Everlasting in 1990 and as a member of the rap ensemble House of Pain, he reinvented himself in the late 1990s with the hip-hop flavored, acoustic sophomore album, Whitey Ford Sings the Blues. He has since continued to release rap albums with the hip-hop group La Coka Nostra, as well as blues records, such as his fifth studio album Love, War and the Ghost of Whitey Ford, as a solo musician.
