Dio

Ronnie James Dio (1942-2010), the eponymous leader of the heavy metal band Dio, was one of the most recognisable individuals in the hard rock community. His short stature, his wailing voice and his carismatic persona all combine to create something that fits perfectly within the confines of his music. While Dio has lent his wind pipes to numerous groups--including Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath and Heaven & Hell--he was in full command during the tenure of his solo band and was able to determine the music path the band followed.
