Gilberto Santa Rosa is a salsa and bolero vocalist from Carolina, Puerto Rico. After recording with various orchestras and outfits during the early 1980s, he formed his own band, signed with Combo Records in 1986 and released a string of hit singles off of his debut album Good Vibrations. As he distinguished himself as an internationally acclaimed artist, with landmark efforts such as becoming the first tropical salsa vocalist to perform at New York's iconic Carnegie Hall, he dropped a steady steam of crossover hits into the 1990s and continues to build his discography of over two dozen studio albums.
