Howie Day is a singer/songwriter and musician from Brewer, MA who got his start as a solo artist in the late 1990s when he would tour constantly with nothing but samplers and effects pedals to accompany him. After self-releasing his debut album Australia, in 2000, he signed a deal with Epic Records, re-released his debut and a follow-up LP in 2003, titled Stop All The World Now. His sophomore album produced several hits and singles including his most well-known track, "Collide." Day spent the next several years on tour, after already having spent the previous five on the road, and decided to take time off to focus on his music. He eventually released a third album Sound the Alarm, in 2009.
