Holly Brook Hafermann is an American singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist who is better known by her musical alias, Skylar Grey. Raised in Wisconsin, she moved to Los Angeles at the age of 19, where she was soon noticed and signed by Brad Nelson, guitarist of popular radio metal outfit Linkin Park. She soon found herself touring with the likes of Duncan Sheik, KD Lang and Daniel Powter, and contributing vocals to tracks by Fort Minor and Dr. Dre. When she's not helping bolster other peoples' songs, Grey crafts a creative blend of soulful singer/songwriter material and hip-hop in her solo work that has helped elevate her reputation even further.
