Gazo is a French rapper of Guinean descent, initially performing under the name Bramsou. He began writing raps in 5th grade and later formed the group Barrodeur Music. Music provided an escape from his challenging daily life. In 2017, he collaborated with 4Keus Gang, eventually achieving platinum singles with Tiakola. Feeling that the name Bramsou limited his opportunities, he rebranded as Gazo, a nickname for trusted individuals in his neighborhood. Gazo shifted his style to drill music, a genre reflecting the gritty realities of underprivileged areas while incorporating melodic and danceable elements rooted in Jamaican music.
