Based in England, 911 is a boy band that rose to fame during the 1990s for its accessible, Europop sound. Formed in 1992, the three-piece outfit earned a quick following on various tours throughout the UK before signing with Virgin Records and releasing its debut album, The Journey, in 1997. After only two more albums, the group crumbled under the pressure of the spotlight and decided to break up in 2000. Over a decade later, 911 reunited for a series of concerts and ultimately ended up releasing its fifth studio album, Illuminate... (The Hits and More), in 2013.
