Kelley Polar is an electronic dance music producer, musician and vocalist from Providence, RI. Born Michael Kelley, he was inspired by disco at an early age and quickly took to playing piano, violin and viola. After graduating from the prestigious Juilliard School, Polar adopted his stage name while releasing several solo EPs under the title, The Kelley Polar Quartet. His debut album Love Songs of the Hanging Gardens, was an experimentation with disco, house and pop music that was heralded as an ambitious brand of new age disco. Polar's 2011 single "I'm Not What You Want," was his first release of original materal since his 2008 critically acclaimed album I Need You to Hold On While the Sky Is Falling.
