Carsie Blanton

Growing up in rural Virginia, Carsie Blanton first became interested in songwriting when she realized that the excess of poetry journals she had kept could be applied to music with positive results. Eventually relocating to Philadelphia, Blanton soon developed a characteristic songwriting style that blended blue-eyed soul with folk and pop. Grabbing the attention of many other artists, Blanton found the opportunity to tour with Loudon Wainwright III and several other Blue Note Records artists. Still gaining momentum, Blanton continues to evolve her style to much acclaim.
