The Obsessed is a heavy metal band from Potomac, Maryland led by chieve singer/songwriter Scott Weinrich that was founded in 1980. Receiving acclaim early in its career for blending elements of doom metal and stoner rock with a punk energy, The Obsessed is regarded by hard rock historians as a pioneering group of the genre that continues to experiment and push the boundaries of its sound.
