Founding member of Vivian Girls, drummer for Crystal Stilts and guitarist for Dum Dum Girls, Frankie Rose has left her imprint on Brooklyn's lo-fi indie scene. Riding the success of all of her former projects, the multi-instrumentalist's latest exploit bears her name and an all girls backing band called The Outs. Blending 60s girl group aesthetics with swirling vocals, hazy guitars and Velvet Underground inspired tambourines, Frankie Rose & the Outs create charming music that may not be the most original work, particularly amongst the countless bands producing this style of music on the Brooklyn scene, but is undeniably catchy and enjoyable nonetheless.
