Adelaida is a band from the coastal town of Valparaiso, Chile that makes a distinctive style of music by blending wall of sound and shoegaze elements with straightforward alternative rock sensibilities to create a unique sonic amalgam that's well suited for South America's expansive music scene. The group released its debut EP, Narval, in 2012 and its intelligent blend of drone-intensive guitar work met with defined singer/songwriter characteristics helped to distinguish Adelaida apart from other emerging acts on the modern Chilean music community.
