Jason D. Harrow is a Canadian hip-hop artist who operates under the pseudonym Kardinal Offishall. Based in Toronto, he began his rap career in the mid-1990s as a member of The Circle before releasing his 1997 debut Eye & I, and earning a contract with MCA Records. With his follow up record, 2001's Quest for Fire: Firestarter, Vol. 1, Kardinal Offishall rose to national attention, particularly with the help of the hit song "BaKardi Slang," and he has since continued to expand his following with his reggae-flavored hip-hop.
