A Los Angeles-based alternative band, Teenage Wrist came into being in 2014. The four-piece band, comprising Anthony Salazar, Marshall Gallagher, Chase Barham and Kamtin Mohager, released its debut EP Dazed in 2015. Between spending time on their individual projects and the band, the group released the singles "Afterglow" and "Slide Away." It signed to Epitaph Records in 2017 and dropped its first label-backed album Chrome Neon Jesus, featuring the single "Black Flamingo," in 2018. That same year, Teenage Wrist went on a tour of the West Coast and performed at the Reading and Leeds Festivals.
