YAWN

Hailing from Chicago, neo-soul and experimental rock band YAWN uses minimal electronic sounds and simple tribal beats to create their indie-electro-garage rock sound. Their first, self-recorded EP fell into the hands of the people responsible for booking the 2010 South by Southwest music festival in Austin, and the band has since gone on to open for bands like Yeasayer and Local Natives. YAWN's 2011 debut album, Open Season, was released in August of 2011, and seems to be only the beginning for this creative fusion band.
