Fight Like Apes

Fight Like Apes is a Dublin based electro-pop/alt rock four-piece was formed in 2006 by front woman MayKay and front man Pockets - two individuals who bonded over their love of B movies and, as their parents called it, "their disgusting taste in music." Taking its name from the poorly rated film Battle for the Planet of the Apes, Fight Like Apes became an official unit after the two founders dropped out of school to pursue music and added two more backing members to the group. With its snarky lyrics and heavy use of synth, Fight Like Apes has amassed a respectable fan base throughout the UK.
