Alfredo Garcia-Navas is a Venezuela-born guitarist who, through gaining a series of awards and commendations for his performances, is starting to gain some recognition on the international stage. Garcia-Navas' musical style is set squarely in the Latin music genre, especially tango and jazz. However, his original compositions have an experimental edge that lead many to hear his music as being a step forward for guitar music.
