DJ Teraoka and the Revolution

DJ Teraoka and the Revolution is a Tokyo-based three-piece that creates a hybrid of hard rock and electronic music. The project is the brainchild of Teraoka, the group's bass player, vocalist, electronic programmer and chief songwriter. His music, which is filled out with a drummer and a guitarist, aims to allow groove-based metal riffs and hard rock to coexist with the drum programming and scratching of electronic music. The results are very similar to the music of nu metal groups in the US, such as Linkin Park. All three members of DJ Teraoka and the Revolution cover their faces during live shows, often wearing skull masks, or hockey masks reminiscent of Friday the 13th villain, Jason Vorhees.
