For a band that doesn't typically have any lyrics in its songs, Trans Am does an admirable job of expressing emotions through its intense electronically charged instrumental music. The three piece Baltimore based band was formed in 1990 and by releasing albums that differ drastically from one another, the group has continually managed to thematically reinvent itself and progress forward to new sonic boundaries. Some consider the band's music to sound like the score to some mid-80s arcade game, but the band's music is more akin to post-rock progressive electro.
