Les Jupes

Les Jupes is a group from Winnipeg, Canada that makes a unique style of ornately constructed baroque pop. Calling Winnipeg home has undoubtedly worked to the band's advantage, as the isolation seems to have let the group carve its own sonic path and not just kowtow to faddish scenes. Les Jupes released its debut LP in 2011 and its elaborate horn and string arrangements manage to perfectly encapsulate the characteristic sound that the group strives to create.
