Mujeres

Barcelona band Mujeres ("Women" in English) is a garage rock band in the style of popular American garage rock bands like The Black Lips. The band's music is extremely tight, fast and melody-centric, combining pop catchiness with punk and rock's speed and abrasiveness. Like American garage rock, Mujeres relies on a playful, self-effacing spirit in its music that speaks to a boyish youthfulness and disregard for the superego. The group has released a variety of 7" singles but prefers to deliver its music in the sweaty live realm.
