The Seedy Seeds

Formed by Mike Ingram of 1990s pop punk band The Scrubs, The Seedy Seeds surprisingly does not create pop punk or anything particularly kitschy, as the band name might suggest. Instead the Cincinnati, Ohio trio blends banjo-heavy folk with indie pop harmonies and electronic flourishes, essentially producing a charming form of folktronica. After forming in 2005, the group of self-proclaimed vegetarian nerds began winning over audiences throughout its home state and slowly gained more national press.
