The Wedding Present

Formed from the ashes of The Lost Pandas, The Wedding Present is an indie alternative rock band from England that was active between 1985 and 1997 before reforming in 2004. During its early days, the band created fast-paced indie rock music in the vein punk acts such as the Buzzcocks and Gang of Four, but ventured into more varied forms as the years went on. Throughout The Wedding Present's career, from its 1987 debut George Best to its 2012 studio effort Valentina, the band has been led by vocalist and guitarist David Gedge, who remains the only consistent founding member of the indie rock band.
