In Extremo

In Extremo is a medieval/folk metal band from Berlin that has developed a style of music that utilizes a combination of standard rock/metal with historical folk instruments such as bagpipes, harp, hurdy-gurdy and more. Preferring to work with well-known traditional folk songs from countries throughout the world, In Extremo is celebrated for its ability to take these songs and seamlessly integrate them into a heavy metal medium. Incredibly successful in its native Germany, In Extremo is widely considered by metal fans around the world to be one of the greatest German folk metal acts still performing today.
