J.B.O.

Erlangen, Germany-based act J.B.O., also known as James Blast Orchester, is a comedic heavy metal band known for its parodies of popular songs. Formed in 1989, the band made a name for itself by releasing several albums every year, starting with 1994's Eine gute CD zum Kaufen! When two of its founding members left the band in 2000, J.B.O. began to produce more original material, including 2002's Ich will Lärm and Rosa Armee Fraktion. Today the band continues to create its comedy-infused brand of metal and hard rock into the 2010s, releasing its 31st album, Happy Metal Thunder, in 2011.
