The Emotions are an American R&B and soul singing group from Chicago, Illinois. Formed in 1968, the group consists of three sisters, Wanda, Sheila, and Jeanette Hutchinson. The Emotions have released several albums throughout their career, including their debut album, So I Can Love You, which was released in 1969. The album featured the hit single "So I Can Love You," which peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100. The group's follow-up album, Untouched, was released in 1971 and featured the hit single "I Don't Wanna Lose Your Love," which peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100. The Emotions have also released several other albums, including Rejoice (1977), Come Into Our World (1979), and Flowers (1980). Throughout their career, The Emotions have been praised for their soulful harmonies and their ability to blend elements of gospel, funk, and disco into their music. The Emotions have been credited with helping to shape the sound of modern R&B and soul music.
