Eluvium

More often than not a musician's location effects the music he or she creates. Living in the United States' Pacific Northwest, where it's consistently foggy and rainy, has undoubtedly influenced the ambient and downtempo nature of Matthew Cooper's music. Performing under the moniker Eluvium, Cooper has released several well received albums starting with 2003's Lambent Material. Though he's known primarily for his ambient style, Cooper incorporates several elements of other genre styles into his music including shoegaze, minimalist and experimental.
