Known for its various 1980s hits, Loverboy is a rock band from Alberta,Canada that initially operated between 1979 and 1988 before reforming in 1991. The band's eponymous debut album was released in 1980 and immediately captured a widespread audience the hit single "Turn Me Loose." Loverboy followed-up the effort with 1981's Get Lucky, which spawned the now iconic arena rock anthem, "Working for the Weekend." As the band rode a massive wave of success throughout the decade, lineup changes and creative differences forced a break up in 1988, though it wasn't long before the band was back on stage together in 1991. Loverboy dropped Six, its first studio effort in a decade, in 1997, and continues to both tour and release records into the 21st century.
