Slick Rick

Slikc rick is a hip-hop artist who was born in London and raised in The Bronx, NY. Blending his English-Jamaican heritge into his distinctive rapping style, he earned a massive following on the East Coast with his debut album, The Great Adventures of Slick Rick, which was released in 1988. Despite some brushes with the law after, for charges he was later pardoned of, he continued to release records. For records like 1994's Behind Bars, and 1999's The Art of Storytelling, he remains beloved and often referenced source in hip-hop culture.
