Tracy Byrd

Tracy Byrd is a country singer/songwriter from Vidor, Texas. Developing an interest in music at a young age, Byrd developed a resonant voice and after one of his friends convinced him to sing a cover of Hank Williams' "Your Cheatin' Heart" at a mall recording studio, the owner was so enamored with Byrd's voice he entered him into a talent contest, which resulted in Byrd landing a recording contract with MCA Records in 1992. Having since continued to release music and tour, Byrd is considered an icon of the modern Texas country music scene.
