Aaron Tippin

Country neo-traditionalist artists can wind up heading down a couple of distinct paths. Some create pop or rock songs with only a steel guitar or fiddle solo to remind the listener of the genre's heritage. Others keep both feet firmly planted in the past, while still incorporating some modern elements. Aaron Tippin falls into the latter camp with a sound reminiscent of hit 90s country artists such as George Strait and Alan Jackson. Tippin's music is steeped in honky-tonk country with some modern rock and roll swing to it, and the nasally twang of his voice is a complete throwback to country legend, Hank Williams.
