BAP

Germany's rock band BAP is one of the most successful and widely known rock groups from the country. The band was formed in 1976 by Hans Heres and lead singer Wolfgan Niedecken, who writes all the band's lyrics in Kölche, the dialect in the group's hometown, Cologne. BAP has released over 20 albums total, ten of which reached the number one spot on Germany's record charts starting with the band's debut album Rockt Andere Kölche Leeder in 1979. Although Niedecken is the band's only original member, his music writing has maintained a catchy alternative rock sound and personal but accessible lyrics.
