Extrabreit

Extrabreit is a post punk band that emerged out of Germany in the late 1970s brandishing a western rock-inspired sound. The band released its debut album, Ihre größten Erfolge, in 1980 and quickly rose to recognition with its mixture of new wave, punk rock and politically-driven lyrics. After a few lineup changes, a string of records heavily inspired by The Cure and final studio album, Amen, Extrabreit disbanded in 1998. Despite its decline in commercial appeal, the band regrouped in 2002 and continues to appease its fan base with tours and new material.
