Pe Werner

Pe Werner is a pop artist from Germany who got her start in the late 1980s. After dropping her debut album Weibsbilder, in 1989, she quickly caught the attention of a mainstream audience in Germany with a catchy, hook-laden sound. By the time she dropped her follow-up record Kribbeln Im Bauch, in 1991, her europop style had resonated well with critics and she earned the German Record Critics' Award, Preis der deutschen Schallplatten, later the same year. After taking a break from recording for over a decade, Werner released her fifth studio album Im Mondrausch, in 2009.
