Illegal 2001 is a German rock band that was founded in 1988. After playing low-profile shows during its formative years, honing its sound and refining its songwriting style, the group released its debut album, Hard Times, in 1990. The group has since remained active by releasing additional LPs fairly regularly and keeping a busy performance regime.
