Loon Choir

Loon Choir is a Canadian indie pop and dance rock band that formed in Ottawa. The group takes advantage of the luxury of having two capable lead singers in Derek Atkinson and Nicole Yates, and the male/female trade-off lends a dynamic vocal range to its music. Besides the use of the standard guitar/bass/drums setup and a knack for writing straight-forward pop rock songs, Loon Choir adds a touch of danceable elements to its music courtesy of synthesizers and bouncy rhythms. The six-piece released its debut album, Expansion Forces, in the summer of 2010.
