Yozoh (요조) is the stage name for Shin Soo-jin, an indie folk-pop singer/songwriter from Seoul who has done much to contribute to South Korea's emerging indie musical aesthetic since her debut in 2007. Yozoh's debut album, appropriately titled My Name is Yozoh, was released to unprecedented acclaim for a first time release in the genre. Capitalizing on her girlish charm and sunny/happy tunes to propel her popularity among South Korea's growing number of indie pop/rock listeners, Yozoh has found herself joining the shortlist of contemporary indie bands currently bringing the genre to mainstream audiences throughout Korea and beyond.
