Humming Urban Stereo is an electropop band from Seoul that was founded in 2004 by South Korean singer/songwriter and producer Lee Jeereen. Although Lee primarily enlists the services of numerous female guest vocalists for the songs he creates, two singers, Shina-E and Humming Girl perform with him the most, and are considered to be bona-fide members of the band as a result. The band has released several albums since its debut and all have received tremendous critical acclaim both within South Korea and internationally--virtually unprecedented for an independent South Korean act. Humming Urban Stereo has joined, and to many, leads the growing pantheon of independent acts in South Korea currently revolutionizing the country's thriving music scene.
