Josquin des Prez

During the 16th century there was no composer who was more prominent than the Franco-Flemish musician Josquin des Prez. His knack for writing rhythmically complex pieces set to delicate instrumental arrangements and hymnal style vocal accompaniments was unmatched during his lifetime. His impressive compositions have been lauded by the public ever since their debut and to this day Josquin des Prez is considered one of the more important composers to have ever lived.
