British composer Thomas Tallis had his heyday during the Tudor period in England. Despite shadowy facts about his life, Tallis made major contributions to the repertoire of church music. Tallis collaborated with William Byrd, and is one of the most honored musicians from that early period of music. His compositions feature biblical stories woven into a rich musical tapestry.
