Joel Harrison

Drawing influences from jazz fusion, contemporary classical, African and Indian music, Joel Harrison has fittingly garnered fans from across the spectrum. After graduating from Bard College in 1980, the Washington DC native quickly began to garner awards and grants for his compositions. Though a guitar player, Harrison has also created chamber works for the violin, piano and marimba with equal success. Over the years, Harrison has become known for his diversity and his ability to adapt to any project he undertakes.
