Is is possible to cohesively blend a myriad of genres and create music that's complex, yet discernible and easy to listen to? Yes, but it's very difficult. The New York based duo The Hundred in the Hands manages to pull it off but only because the two people involved in the project are adept thinkers who know the limitations of their sonic excursions. The group came about after Jason Friedman and Eleanore Everdell took a cross country journey and found a mutual appreciation for a extremely varied style of music that includes French house, minimalist trance, early new wave, vintage hip-hop and '60s mod.
