Acclaimed DJ and producer Oliver Jones, known as Skream, has been an innovator at the forefront of the dubstep genre. Skream grew up in Croydon, Great Britain, where his interest in electronic music was first piqued after dropping out of high school and snagging a job at Big Apple Records, a breeding ground for the incipient dubstep sound. Skream grew with the form, as the underground musical movement slowly gained more and more recognition from the mainstream. Skream has now contributed to and collaborated with a barrage of mainstream acts, as well as maintaining a devoted fan base through his prolific output of new records.
