Nashville-based quartet, The Ettes, was formed in 2004 and quickly found success in both the UK and the US with its characteristic "beat-punk" sound, which refers to a blend of 1960s big beat and punk roots. Fronted by Coco, who provides Southern soulful vocals, the band is often grouped in the same category (and tours with) The Dead Weather and The Black Keys.
