Banjo or Freakout

London via Italy producer Alessio Natalizia creates simple saccharine music under the Banjo or Freakout moniker. Contrary to what this moniker may suggest, there are no banjos or freakouts in this music, but instead sparse acoustic guitars, twee-influenced vocals and dream pop reverb that firmly plants Banjo or Freakout in the bedroom pop genre. While he first gained attention for his off-kilter covers of popular songs in 2008, Banjo or Freakout has since bounced around various underground UK labels, producing singles and EPs to varying degrees of success.
