Duzheknew is the brainchild of Canadian songwriter Adam O'Reilly. Usually fleshed out to a three-piece of simply guitar, bass and drums in a live setting, the band creates noisy indie rock songs full of controlled feedback and propulsive drumming. Duzheknew is not without a sense of strong songwriting, however. O'Reilly knows how to pen a structurally sound, even frequently catchy track--he often just decides to drown it out with a cacophonous racket. The trio will occasionally bring everything down to a mellower (relatively speaking) state, the effect of which is often tension-building due to its dissimilarity with the majority of the material.
