Golden Bear

The Austin, Texas indie rock band Golden Bear describes their music as "galactic-forest rock," which would only be accurate if these interstellar arboreal regions were much more familiar and comfortable places than one imagined them to be. Despite the band's surreal musical aspirations, it wouldn't be far-fetched to imagine Golden Bear inhabiting its own personal galactic forest of engaging and hooky indie rock melodies, bouncy choruses and breathy vocals that elegantly tip-toe the line between the hopeful and the melancholy.
