Catch the latest Hollywood movie at he Metro Kino im Schlosshof. This theater was established in 1939 in the location of a ruined castle, and gained popularity due to the movie premiers hosted here in the past. But with rise of multiplex cinemas, this historic theater was shut down in 1996. It reopened again in 2006 and since then has been a popular haunt for movie buffs in Kiel.
