Joe Brown is a singer/songwriter and guitarist from England who began his decades-long career in the late 1950s. After signing to Decca Records in 1960, he released a string of successful singles and became the first artist to release a track with the Piccadilly label when he dropped "Crazy Mixed Up Kid," in 1961. Over the years, he has fronted several outfits such as Joe Brown and the Bruvvers and Brown's Home Brew, spanning a wide genre spectrum from country to gospel and down-home rock and roll. He has gone on to work in the realms of film and television entertainment, while also maintaining a rigorous touring schedule and building an impressive catalog of records, including his 2012 LP, The Ukelele Album.
